EPICA Preparing For South American/Mexican Tour; Video Message Available
August 25, 2008Dutch female-fronted symphonic metallers EPICA have issued the following update:
"At the moment, we are preparing for our upcoming Mexican/South American tour. We are looking forward to it a lot and we will make sure to make up for the previous two cancellations a few months ago! Since we are still getting a lot of mails from you guys asking about the health of Simone [Simons, vocals]: Simone IS going to join us on this tour. She also made a little video message for you guys; you can view it [below].
"As we are playing two shows in Mexico City, we wanted to make sure that the two shows would be totally different from each other. Since this year is our fifth anniversary of our debut album, 'The Phantom Agony', we have decided to play this album in its entire form at our show at the Hard Rock Live. And to make it even more special, we have decided to add an acoustic set to this show as well.
"If you haven't bought your tickets yet, be sure to do so as soon as possible since some shows are almost sold out already. We hope to see you on the road!"

EPICA took part in a special concert dubbed "Classical Conspiracy" on June 14 at the Miskolc International Opera Festival in Hungary. The band performed a 45-minute set of metal adaptations of classical songs and movie soundtracks, accompanied by the orchestra and choir as well as symphonic versions of its own songs (including a few orchestral songs from singles and "The Score", which have never been played live before).
